Ian Tyson (Director and Construction Manager Commercial)
With almost 30 years of building and construction experience under his well-worn utility belt, Ian Tyson is a local boy made good.
Having decided on a career in the building industry from an early age, Ian undertook a carpentry apprenticeship at 15 years, and learned the business by working under a variety of home building companies around the Macarthur area. He began his own business at the age of 19, Tyson Constructions, then returned to his studies at 21 to complete a Clerk of Works Certificate. After obtaining his Builders Licence, Ian continued to build homes for families around the local area from the ground up.
In 2000, Ian and his business partner, Michael Everard, joined their companies to form Holmwood Builders, bringing together decades of knowledge and experience of the construction industry. Holmwood Builders now operates as Procorp Builders, aligning themselves under the Procorp umbrella.
Ian believes in the hands-on approach, and works closely with clients and site supervisors throughout the construction process.
